SC Villa closed gap to 1 point on table leaders KCCA who has 35 and SC Villa 34, this comes after their win against rivals BUL FC 1-0 at Akibua Memorial Stadium on 21st March 2023.

David Owori scored for SC Villa in the 38th minute and BUL failed to overturn the results in Lira.

SC Villa were finishing their 10 un winning run against BUL FC in all competitions, in that poor run they had lost 6 and drew 4 against the Jinja outfit.

SC Villa once again maintained their unbeaten run of the second round in the league, they have 3 wins and 1 draw.

On the other side of the stadium, Villa was saying goodbye to Akibua Stadium having finished their 5 home games away from Buganda as it was suggested by FUFA.

Villa’s win comfortably remained them in the 2nd place with 34 points while KCCA on top has 35 despite being two games less.

BUL FC remained 3rd with 29 points despite being with more games than the 4th team Vipers and 5th Wakiso Giants who have 28 and 26 points respectively.

In other game, Maroons edged Arua hills 2-0 to move to 6th place while Arua hills to 9th.

Uganda Premier League will resume today on 22nd March with one game of Blacks power hosting Wakiso Giants at Akibua Memorial Stadium.
