
Uganda Cranes head Coach Micho Sredjovic is still optimistic for a win in Dar es Salaam despite losing the first leg 0-1 against Tanzania at Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Egypt.
Today on 28th March, Uganda is taking on Tanzania at Benjamin Mpaka stadium in Dar es Salaam and the results could determine the fate of Cranes in qualifying for AFCON.
While addressing the press, Micho revealed on how the short time of 96 hours between the first leg and second leg could be a blessing in disguise which have not been the case before.
” In past times, we had a situation where one match for the national team, you wait for three months to either be happy that you have won or analyse why you have lost”.
” Now this is a blessing in disguise after 96 hours, we have a chance of redemption. We have a chance on the pain we felt after losing to throw on Benjamin Mpaka stadium and see what football will give us”.
Micho further revealed on how they will try to lean on something to stay moody and happier towards fighting for maximum points.
” We believe in us, the country we are representing and the players that are representing their people. We are here to play with our brothers from Tanzania with highest degree of respect fully aware there is a thin line between success and failure “.
” We shall try to lean against something that leads us towards much better mood and happiness than it was the other day” he concluded.
Simon Msuva who scored the only goal for Tanzania in the first leg in Ismailia called upon Tanzanians for support.
” We thank God for the win in previous game but that’s behind us”.
” Our Focus now is on the game tomorrow (Tuesday) and we expect it to be tough. l call upon all fans to come and support so that we enlighten our chances of qualifying for AFCON “.
Uganda are last in Group F with only one points, Tanzania are 2nd with 4 points
