Former Uganda Cranes Midifielder Mike Azira has been appointed as new head coach at American side Mississippi Brilla FC.

Mike Azira who is replacing Mart Horth retired from professional football last year and so did he start his coaching journey.

Mike Azira revealed how happy he is to get back to Brilla FC and outlined how the club natured him.

” lam thankful to be back at Brilla because you know, it has played a big role in my life mostly in my journey. We had a great time here but mostly you know, it helped me to define myself between who l am”.

” We play soccer but at the end of the day, we are more than Soccer players, it’s really great to be back here” .

Azira added on how he wants to help the kids of the community reach their potential.

” lam here to serve and help the kids reach their potential as well as help the team win the championship”.

Mike Azira will be enjoying his second stint at Mississippi Brilla FC having been there as a player between 2010 and 2011.

At Uganda Cranes, Mike Azira featured both in 2017 and 2019 AFCON finals in Guinea and Egypt respectively”.

Mike Azira has recently served as head coach at Blue Mountain College which is also in America.
