Vipers edged Arua hills 0-1 at Barifa Stadium to complete double in Uganda Premier League.

The first leg ended with the same score in favour of Vipers at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.

Abubakar Lawal scored the only goal as his strike in the 2nd minute turned to be the winner for the Venoms.

Lawal had braced in the 40th minute only for assistant referee to call for an offside which was not correct.

The hosts had grabbed an equaliser in the 70th minute, though Custodian Fabien Mutomboro was on his best to deny Isaac Ogwang with a bicycle kick.

The win means Vipers have now gone 5 games with out a loss, in this run they have registered 4 wins and a draw.

They are now on 39 points from 20 games,only 4 behind table leaders SC Villa.

Their next encounter will be against SC Villa at Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku as they will be looking to close gap of points.

On the other side, Arua hills remained 5th on the Uganda Premier League log with 33 points from 22 games.

Their next encounter will be against Relegation threatening Oduparaka at Green light stadium, Arua.
