Record champions Al Ahly eliminated Raja Casablanca on aggregate 2-0 after their goalless draw in Morocco in the return leg, Al Ahly had won the first leg in Egypt with a 2-0 score.
Defending Champions Waydad Casablanca needed penalties to progress through over Tanzanian giants Simba SC, after 1-1 score on aggregate as both teams won 1-0 in their respective home grounds, Waydad Casablanca won 4-3 in penalties.
Onyango’s Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa needed a comeback to defeat Algerian giants CR Belouizdad 2-1 in South Africa as they had won 4-1 in Algiers, Mamelodi progressed through on a 6-2 aggregate.
Esperance de Tunis from Tunisia also needed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 with Algerian side JS Kablyie and so they progressed through on a 2-1 aggregate.
In the Semifinals, Esperance de Tunis will face off record champions Al Ahly from Egypt.
In the other fixture, Mamelodi Sundowns will face off defending Champions Waydad Casablanca.
