
Kitara FC defeated Soroti City FC with a 5-1 score to keep their Promotion hopes alive as the league set to reach Climax.
Paul Mucureezi scored a brace while George Senkaaba, Edison Agondeze and Paddy Muhumuza all scored one for Sam Ssimbwa’s side.
Paul Mucureezi opened the score for Kitara with a beautiful free kick in the 30th minute.
The visitors levelled matters at the stroke of halftime after Kitara’s goalkeeper Farouk Yawe had made a costly mistake.
In the 51st minute, Paul Mucureezi completed his brace before George Senkaaba scored the third one in the 55th minute.
At the finishing of the playing time, Edison Agondeze scored the fourth one to complete the score.
The results means, Kitara FC remained on top of the league with 55 points.
With two games to end the league, Kitara FC will only need one win to seal a place in top flight league in Uganda next season.
